We are situated on approximately 8 acres in a beautiful rural setting. There is a swing set play area for the children, a basketball hoop, and a horseshoe pit. Pets are welcome!
All of the cabins have color cable TV, air conditioning, kitchenettes, and tub/shower bathrooms. Four cabins provide 2 double beds, and three cabins have one queen bed. Our guests often describe the cottages as having a cozy and nostalgic feeling. The cabins all have charcoal BBQ grills, picnic tables, and outdoor seating. There are three common area fire rings for campfires to enjoy.
Family cabin # 9 has a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a childrens sleeping loft with two double beds, and a full size futon in the living room. A kitchen and bathroom is included. There is also an electric fireplace and small covered porch with patio furniture. A fire ring is provided for your campfire. A charcoal BBQ grill is included.
Family cabin # 10 is the newest addition to the resort that has two separate bedrooms with queen beds, and a queen size hide a bed in the living room. A kitchen and bathroom is included. There is an open outside deck with patio furniture, a fire ring for campfires, and charcoal BBQ grill.
The units above come equipped with cooking utensils, linens, and towels. Daily housekeeping is not provided.
The camping cottage is located in the campground near the shower house. It has two double beds, electricity, baseboard heat, Cable TV, and a small refrigerator. A small deck outside with seating provides a beautiful view of granite peaks.
Campgrounds: Our tranquil campground consists of 12 RV sites, 5 tent sites. There is a shower house with bathrooms and showers. The campground provides outstanding views of the Black Hills forest and granite peaks. The adjoining large meadow is frequently visited by deer.
The Roost Resort is centrally located to visit the many sights and attractions in The Black Hills. The town of Custer is 1 1/2 miles west and the entrance to Custer State Park is about 2 miles east. Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a 30 minute drive, and Crazy Horse Memorial is a 10 minute drive.
