Now widely acclaimed as the most impressive production of its type, the Black Hills Passion Play faithfully reconstructs the dramatic events of Christ's last seven days on Earth. Endowed with all the splendor & pageantry of the Orient, this great Play speaks eloquently of the love & fury of a people two thousand years ago: the Roman domination over Judea, the devotion of the disciples and friends, & the supreme sacrifice of the Son of Man.

A series of unique settings allows an uninterrupted unfolding of the Play while contemporary technical systems enhance each scene, transporting the viewer from early dawn to the darkness of night & storm. Roman soldiers mounted on proud white horses ride arrogantly through the teeming city streets, forcing the populace into the path of a passing camel caravan. Pigeons escape from their cages as merchants and money-lenders are driven out of the Temple.

Through all this, with simplicity & purpose, moves the central figure of the drama on a mission that leads Him from acclaim to public condemnation -- from the weary road to Golgotha & the peace of the dark Tomb -- to the glory of the Ascension.

With a professionally led cast of hundreds, the original Black Hills Passion Play is a moving & memorable experience.
